Impact Assessment of Alumni Programme for Enhancing Employability and Life Skills among Youth in Mumbai

DevInsights conducted an impact assessment of the Alumni Programme implemented by Pehlay Akshar Foundation, aimed at understanding the long-term impact of educational interventions on alumni employability, personal development, and career progression. The programme focused on alumni from schools in Prabhadevi, Adarsh Nagar, and Worli Seaface, where the foundation has been implementing educational initiatives since 2012.

The study adopted a qualitative research approach, involving detailed interactions with 50 alumni to assess outcomes related to language development, communication skills, confidence, educational progression, employability, and life skills. The evaluation also explored alumni reflections on classroom experiences, the impact of mentorship initiatives, and future aspirations and support needs.

DevInsights provided end-to-end evaluation support, including study design, stakeholder engagement, qualitative data collection, and analysis. The findings generated actionable insights to strengthen alumni engagement, enhance employability support, and inform future programme development for sustainable youth livelihoods and career growth.
