Impact Assessment of Yuva Junction Programme in Gujaratand Bihar
Client: Aga Khan Rural Support Programme (India)
Geography: Gujarat and Bihar
Duration: December 2025 – January 2026 (1.5 months)

DevInsights undertook an impact assessment of the Yuva Junction Programme, a placement-linked skill development initiative implemented by AKRSP(I) to enhance employability and livelihood opportunities among ruraland marginalised youth aged 18–35 years, with a focus on women, Scheduled Tribes, and first-generation learners. The programme delivers market-oriented vocational training along with soft skills, digital literacy, financial awareness, and job placement support across diverse geographies including tribal, drought-affected, and flood-prone regions.

The assessment was conducted using a mixed-method approach integrating quantitative and qualitative research. A structured survey was administered to 348 trained youth, complemented by qualitative interactions with key stakeholders including trainees, parents, trainers, employers, and programme staff to capture insights on programme effectiveness and outcomes.

The study evaluated key dimensions such as employment generation, income enhancement, skill development, and empowerment outcomes. Findings were synthesised to generate actionable recommendations aimed at strengthening programme delivery, improving sustainability, and enhancing long-term livelihood impacts.
