DevInsights conducted a data cross-verification exercise for Project Maitri, a flagship initiative by Educate Girls aimed at strengthening community-led action for girls’ education through a network of grassroot sorganisations. As the programme expanded across multiple states, the study focused on validating enrolment and retention data to ensure accuracy, reliability, and accountability in programme reporting.

The assignment was implemented in phased cycles across diverse geographies, covering verification of over 19,000 girls across multiple districts. The methodology combined school register audits, structured field verification, and multi-layered quality assurance processes, along with qualitative observations to capture implementation challenges and contextual factors.

DevInsights served as the external audit and evaluation partner, delivering end-to-end execution including study design, field verification, supervision, data validation, and analysis. The study generated critical insights on data quality, partner performance, documentation practices, and system-level gaps, informing improvements in monitoring systems, partner capacity building, and programme implementation.
