DevInsights is undertaking a baseline and endline assessment of a nutrition intervention aimed at addressing iron and vitamin D deficiencies among vulnerable populations, including children, adolescents, pregnant women, and lactating mothers in Dadri, Uttar Pradesh. The study focuses on assessing the knowledge, attitudes, and practices (KAP) of frontline workers and beneficiaries, while evaluating the effectiveness of existing health initiatives in improving nutrition outcomes.

The assessment adopts a mixed-method approach, integrating quantitative and qualitative research. The qualitative component includes Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) and Key Informant Interviews (KIIs) with frontline workers, pregnant women, lactating mothers, and adolescent girls to understand community perceptions, behavioural practices, and implementation challenges. The quantitative component involves structured surveys with beneficiaries and frontline workers to generate robust evidence on knowledge levels, service utilisation, and nutrition-related practices.

DevInsights is responsible for end-to-end execution, including study design, tool development, field data collection, quality assurance, and analysis. The study generates actionable insights on micronutrient awareness, programme effectiveness, and systemic gaps, informing recommendations to strengthen implementation and improve health outcomes.
